Meet Dr. Juliet Chang, DMD
Biography
Dr. Chang was raised in Woodland Hills, CA and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with minors in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. Before deciding to pursue dentistry, Dr. Chang enjoyed teaching and worked as an instructor providing SAT/ACT exam preparation to local high school students.
She earned her DMD degree at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, UT. While at Roseman, she sat on the student board of the American Association of Women Dentists and was active in her community. She served as a committee member for yearly Give Kids Smile events which provided dental care to underprivileged patients. She volunteered her time at the YWCA and delivered emergency dental services during humanitarian trips to the remote villages of Jalapa, Nicaragua.
Dr. Chang completed a one-year general practice residency at George E. Wahlen Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. She developed a passion for periodontics and completed a three-year residency in Indianapolis, IN where she received her Certificate in Periodontology at Richard L. Roudebush VA Hospital and a Master of Science in Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry. During this time, she served as chief resident and conducted research in thermal generation during implantoplasty procedures.
Dr. Chang is board certified by the American Academy of Periodontology. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and International Team for Implantology.
Dr. Chang likes to spend her free time with her family and cat, Ollie. When not with family, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and cooking.
